A couple of them rock out quite well when you transpose the chords into power chords. Can't remember which ones and I don't have a songbook to hand to find them........maybe one day.

you get in their car and the kingdom melodies are playing on prerecorded piano... you go to their house and there they are in an orchestral arrangement... even when i was a complete believer i cringed when i had to hear this banal crap!

It was hard work sometimes,not getting caught out,but i'd do things like tell my ma I was off camping with another bruv,he'd tell his mum the same. Well we were camping,just at the Knebworth rock festival in 1979......................Led Zeppelin.....live!! We did it again the next year for Reading festival with Whitesnake.
I don't regret doing it,it gave me valuable viewings of some of the greatest rock bands ever.

Most times the study conductor would ask from the platform for the answers from us, my younger step daughter was just getting into answering as she was only 5 or 6,when her older brother said,say 'a frog',she was so trusting she did,and everybody laughed. I think she is still traumatised today and she is late 20's now. I think it put her off for life.

this was to save my dad having to 'report' me (i'd told my dad we go to church).

Why don't you just go,leave without saying anything? It saves all the messing about and possible heartache and then you can just get on with your life with whatever you want to do.
Having said that,if you do meet with the elders,my thoughts are with you.

Maryblondgirl,I know what you mean!!! Every time I see the bruvs out on the ministry I get a knot in my stomach of nervousness and realize that ,even if I did go back,I could never go out on the min again!!
